I am not an aficionado of chrysanthemums, but this one caught my eye with the play of sunlight on its red-tipped petals. Not enough to simply have petals, the blossom has four zones of visual activity: the dark center full of buds, the ring of curled petals around it, the red-tipped petals around that, and the large, long petals on the periphery. Each and every petal was unique. Colored pencil on vellum bristol.
